Betsy Massar
Betsy Massar has over 20 years of capital markets experience, beginning her career at Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust in New York. She lived and worked in Asia from 1988-1998, specializing in Taiwanese equities at Jardine Fleming and Barclays de Zoete Wedd (now Barclays Capital).
Betsy was a Principal at Barclays Global Investors, Senior Editor of the company's intranet and later a business analyst in the Global Index and Markets Group. She was also a marketing strategist at Seneca Capital Management.
At Franklin Templeton, she managed a team of sophisticated investment writers/strategists with deep product knowledge of fixed income, international growth and value equities, emerging markets, macroeconomics and risk.
She holds her bachelor's degree from Vassar College and her MBA from Harvard Business School. Betsy has studied Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Latin, and but only claims command of English. She is a lifetime member of the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents Club and is a volunteer tutor of English as a Second Language (ESL). She also mentors a number of students who are on their way to bigger and better things through graduate school.
